Work resumes on Jackson Park stage

Workers from Schuepbach Builders discuss next steps before the crew installs rock facing on the Jackson Park Stage. The Hood River Lions Club has embraced the repairs and upgrade of the stage as its anniversary project.

More progress on the Hood River Lions signature project for 2019 at the Jackson Park Stage began Monday, June 3, when workers from Schuepbach Construction began installing a new rock surface on stage walls.

Club members and workers from County Corrections earlier had stripped old and damaged foam insulation and fiberglass texturing from the walls.

After completion of the new surface, the stage will be sealed for use by musicians and others during the outdoor event season.

In 2020, the Club will fund construction of a sloped shed roof over the stage to protect musicians and their equipment from the sun and rain.
